Lightness and Effect of Weather

What if architecture (structure and skin) is soft and light, so that it becomes subject to the power of weather? Architecture which moves, floats and shakes.

This Inflatable balloon house is designed to open your sense toward weather. It is a temporal shelter or more of landscape installations rather than a typical house. It is about a size, 4 feet in radius, which only allows an individual to be accommodated at a time. Multiple of them are distributed on empty land and house people temporarily. It could be as short as a minute or a night-long if you feel comfortable in it.

While you are sitting in the balloon where all disturbing environment is removed, the inflated fabric skin with the air inside amplifies the sounds of wind, rain and mix of all created from weather and surroundings. The translucent skin wraps the round space and sun light is filtered into the space, warming the inside.

Over a longer period, the invisible force of weather in various forms such as wind, rain and fog affects the light and portable structure. It moves them or scatters or brings them together. Weather continues to make traces on them and it continues to reveal its effects on architecture by constantly changing its angle, position and arrangement of a group, creating various patterns in the landscape.
